Community advocate announces candidate’s committee for
Yavapai County Board of Supervisors, District 1
PRESCOTT: Sherrie Hanna, an Arizona native, community advocate and long-time resident of Prescott formed a candidate’s committee (exploratory committee) for the District 1 Yavapai County Board of Supervisors seat for 2020.
She was born in Winslow, AZ and moved to Prescott with her family in 1963 where she grew up and has lived ever since. She married the late John Hanna, Sr. in 1976 and together, they have three grown children and seven grandchildren who all live in Prescott.
Service to the community runs deep and frequent for this Arizona native…she currently serves on the following committees:
o Yavapai Cowbelles
o Prescott Frontier Days Rodeo Association
o Western Heritage Foundation
o The Well Armed Woman – Prescott Chapter – Prescott Gun Club
o Prescott Chamber of Commerce
o Prescott Kiwanis

From her list of experiences, it is obvious Hanna is very active in the community and has been most of her life. Having been raised in Prescott and Yavapai County, she has seen the hard times and the progress that has been made.
